About Us
Our aim is to foster a love for bonsai by uniting individuals passionate about this art form. Established in 1975 by a dedicated group of enthusiasts, our society has flourished into one of the largest clubs in Australia, boasting over 260 members!
Join us on the first Saturday of each month (excluding January and October) at the Hughes Community Centre for our engaging meetings, which include presentations, demonstrations, show-and-tell sessions, practical work, and guidance for beginners. Feel free to bring your bonsai tree along for advice!
Stay updated with our monthly newsletter, Wirrabara, delivered a week before each meeting. It is packed with bonsai news, upcoming events, and insightful articles.
Participate in our hands-on workshops, annual show in September, community programs, bus trips to bonsai nurseries in Sydney, field trips for tree collection adventures, and more!
You can access our extensive bonsai reference library and purchase wire and soil mix components at our meetings. There are often vendors or members selling trees, pots, and other bonsai paraphernalia. Membership fees are $25.00 for singles and $30.00 for families.
Come be a part of our vibrant community dedicated to the art of bonsai!
